The TOPICA Web Framework has a built-in functionality to export the full organization hierarchy from an existing configuration and resuse it in a new or other existing configuration.

Exporting the organization hierarchyIn menu line choose "Organization" - > "Hierarchy" to export the organization hierarchy. In the hierarchy form press the export button in the left hand panel. Pressing the button makes the export form appear in the right hand panel
Before pressing the export button in the right hand panel you can choose:
Level of information from the export:
Nothing - Errors
Headlines - Only Headlines and errors
Details - Code, type and name of all org.units being exported, headlines and errors
Debug - The same as details but might contain extra information
Whether or not to include the organization type hieararchy in the export file. If you are planning to import into a new database or an existing with a different type hierarchy than the source database for the export consider including types. Dont include type hierachy when planning to import into exsisting database with same structure as the source database for the export
Finally press the export button in the right hand panel to start exporting the organization hierarchy. While exporting progress status is written to the export form. After the export has finished a XML-file is writtien to the configurations temp directory in the folder \organization\orgunit\export. The export form has a link to file. Left click the link to open the generated file in the browser. Right clik the link to save it to another location of your own choice.
